Corner Chair Circa 1770 Following the extravagant excess of the early 18th century French courts, King Louis XVI popularized a revival of the classic elements of antiquity to court furniture.  This chair, with its straight legs, simple silhouette and delicate carving, offered classic beauty and comfort to anyone lucky enough to sit in it.  The original chair was upholstered in a soft silk fabric.  This replica, crafted in one twelfth miniature scale, is hand-painted on resin. Despite the fact that this chair is of solid material and lacks any fabric or pillows, you may need to touch it for yourself to believe it's not soft, silky and cushioned for the eyes certainly can't tell the difference!
