LOUIS XVI CHAIR
CIRCA 1770
Excavations in Pompeii in the 18th century revised interest in all things classical. French King Louis XVI soon borrowed the fluted column as a furniture motif, as seen in the legs of this elegant chair. With channels and scrolls in the arms, an oval back and tapestry-covered seat, the chair is perfectly suited for formal gatherings and palatial settings.
A hand-painted resin dollhouse scale furniture piece designed by artist/sculptor Raine.
